A Simple Story of True Love and True Care

I was born in a secluded village on a mountain. Day by day, my parents
plowed the
yellow dry soil
with their backs towards the sky.

I have a brother who is 3 years younger than me. I wanted to buy a
handkerchief, which
all girls around
me seemed to have. So, one day I stole 50 cents from my father's
drawer. Father had
discovered about the
stolen money right away. He made me and my younger brother kneel
against the wall as
he held a bamboo
stick in his hand.
"Who stole the money?" he asked. I was stunned, too afraid to talk.
Neither of us
admitted to the fault,
so he said, "Fine, if nobody wants to admit, you two should be beaten!"
He lifted up
the bamboo stick.

Suddenly, my younger brother gripped father's hand and said," Dad, I
was the one who
did it!"
The long stick smacked my brother's back repeatedly.Father was so angry
that he kept
on whipping my
brother until he lost his breath. After that, he sat down on our stone
bed and scolded
my brother, "You
have learned to steal from your own house now. What other embarrassing
things will you be
possibly doing in the future? You should be beaten to death, you
shameless thief!"

That night, my mother and I hugged my brother. His body was full of
wounds from the
beating but he never
shed a single tear. In the middle of the night, all of sudden, I cried
out loudly. My
brother covered my
mouth with his little hand and said, " Sis, now don't cry anymore.
Everything has
happened."
I still hate myself for not having enough courage to admit what I did.

Years gone by, but the incident still seemed like it just happened
yesterday.
I will never forget my brother's expression when he protected me.

That year, my brother was 8 years old and I was 11 years old. When my
brother was in
his last year
of secondary school, he was accepted in an upper secondary school in
the central. At
the same time, I
was accepted into a university in the province. That night, father
squatted in the
yard, smoking,
packet by packet. I could hear him ask my mother, "Both of our
children, they have
good results?
very good results?" Mother wiped off her tears and sighed," What is the
use?
How can we possibly finance both of them?" At that time, my brother
walked out, he
stood in front
of father and said,"Dad, I don't want to continue my study anymore, I
have read enough
books."

Father swung his hand and slapped my brother on his face. "Why do you
have a spirit so
damn weak? Even if it
means I have to beg for money on the streets, I will send you two to
school until you
have both finished
your study!"

And then, he started to knock on every house in the village to borrow
money. I stuck
out my hand as gently
as I can to my brother's swollen face, and told him, "A boy has to
continue his study;
If not, he will
not be able to overcome this poverty we are experiencing." I, on the
other hand, had
decided not to further my
study at the university.

Nobody knew that on the next day, before dawn, my brother left the
house with a few
pieces of worn-out
clothes and a few dry beans. He sneaked to my side of the bed and left
a note on my
pillow; "Sis, getting
into a university is not easy. I will go find a job and I will send
money to you."
I held the note while sitting on my bed, and cried until I lost my
voice.

That year, my brother was 17 years old; I was 20 years old. With the
money father
borrowed from
the whole village, and the money my brother earned from carrying cement
on his back at
a construction
site,finally, I managed to get to the third year of my study in the
university.

One day, while I was studying in my room, my roommate came in and told
me,"There's a
villager waiting for
you outside!" Why would there be a villager looking for me? I walked
out, and I saw my
brother from afar.
His whole body was covered with dirt, dust, cement and sand. I asked
him,
"Why did you not tell my roommate that you are my brother?"
He replied with a smile," Look at my appearance. What will they think
if they would
know that I am your
brother? Won't they laugh at you?"


I felt so touched, and tears filled my eyes. I swept away dirt and dust
from my
brother's body. And told
him with a lump in my throat, " I don't care what people would say! You
are my brother
no matter what
your appearance is?"

From his pocket, he took out a butterfly hair clip. He put it on my
hair and said, "I
saw all the girls in
town are wearing it. So, I think you should also have one." I could not
hold back
myself anymore. I pulled my
brother into my arms and cried. That year, my brother was 20 years old;
I was 23 years
old. I noticed that the broken window was repaired the first time I brought my boyfriend
home. The house was scrubbed cleaned.
After my boyfriend left, I danced like a little girl in front of my
mother, "Mom, you
didn't have to spend
so much time cleaning the house!" But she told me with a smile," It was
your brother
who went home early to
clean the house. Didn't you see the wound on his hand? He hurt his hand
while he was
replacing the window."
I went into my brother's bedroom. Looking at his thin face, I felt like
there are
hundreds of needle pricked
in my heart.

I applied some ointment on his wound and put a bandag on it, "Does it
hurt? " I asked
him.
"No, it doesn't hurt. You know, when at the construction site, stones
keep falling on
my feet .
Even that could not stop me from working." In the middle of the
sentence, he stopped.
I turned
my back on him and tears rolled down my face.

That year, my brother was 23 years old; I was 26 years old. After I got
married, I
lived in the city.
Many times my husband invited my parents to come and live with us, but
they didn't want.
They said, once they left the village,they wouldn't know what to do.
My brother agreed with them. He said, "Sis, you just take care of your
parents-in-law.
I will take care of
mom and dad here."

My husband became the director of his factory. We asked my brother to
accept the offer
of being the
manager in the maintenance department. But my brother rejected the
offer. He insisted
on working as a
repairman instead for a start. One day, my brother was on the top of a
ladder
repairing a cable, when he got electrocuted, and was sent to the hospital. My husband
and I visited him at the hospital. Looking
at the white gypsum on his leg, I grumbled, "Why did you reject the
offer of being a
manager? Managers
won't do something dangerous like that. Now look at you, You ar
suffering a serious
injury. Why didn't you
just listen to us?"

With a serious expression on his face, he defended his decision, "Think
of
brother-in-law. He just
became the director, and I being uneducated, and would become a
manager, what kind of
rumors would fly
around?" My husband's eyes filled up with tears, and then I said, "But
you lack in
education only because of me!"
"Why do you talk about the past?" he said and then he held my hand.
That year, he was 26 years old and I was 29 years old.

My brother was 30 years old when he married a farmer girl from the
village. During the
wedding reception,
the master of ceremonies asked him, "Who is the one person you respect
and love the most?"

Without even taking a time to think, he answered," My sister." He
continued by telling
a story I could not
even remember. "When I was in primary school, the school was in a
different village.
Everyday, my sister and I would walk for 2 hours to school and back home. One day, I
lost the other pair of my gloves. My sister gave me
one of hers. She wore only one glove and she had to walk far. When we
got home, her
hands were trembling because of the cold weather that she could not even hold her
chopsticks.

From that day on, I swore that as long as I live, I would take care of
my sister and
will always be good to her."
Applause filled up the room. All guests turned their attention to me. I
found it hard
to speak, "In my whole life, the one I would like to thank most is my brother," And in
this happy occasion,in front of the crowd, tears were rolling down my face again.

Love and care for the one you love every single days of your life. You
may think what
you did is just a
small deed, but to that someone, it may mean a lot.Have a nice day

in any way! I wonder how many people are able to really appreciate the people who have worked hard to make their lives happy and easy when they really suffer? Sometimes even the smallest thing really matters. Stephen Cover Way Of Seeing Things. the 90/10 Principle

Discover the 90/10 Principle.

It will change your life (at least the way you react to situations).

What is this principle? 10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react.

What does this mean? We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us.

We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane will be late arriving, which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic.

We have no control over this 10%. The other 90% is different. You determine the other 90%.

How? ……….By your reaction.

You cannot control a red light. but you can control your reaction. Don't let people fool you; YOU can control how you react.

Let's use an example.

You are eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just happened.

What happens next will be determined by how you react.

You curse.

You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus.

Your spouse must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 40 miles an hour in a 30 mph speed limit.

After a 15-minute delay and throwing $60 traffic fine away, you arrive at school. Your daughter runs into the building without saying goodbye. After arriving at the office 20 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to coming home.

When you arrive home, you find small wedge in your relationship with your spouse and daughter.

Why? …. Because of how you reacted in the morning.

Why did you have a bad day?

A) Did the coffee cause it?

B) Did your daughter cause it?

C) Did the policeman cause it?

D) Did you cause it?

The answer is “D".

You had no control over what happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day.

Here is what could have and should have happened.

Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say, "Its ok honey, you just need to be more careful next time". Grabbing a towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase, you come back down in time to look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good the day you are having.

Notice the difference?

Two different scenarios. Both started the same. Both ended different.

Why?

Because of how you REACTED.

You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determined by your reaction.

Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle. If someone says something negative about you, don't be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative comment affect you!

React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc.

How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose your temper? Pound on the steering wheel? A friend of mine had the steering wheel fall off) Do you curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them?

WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the cars ruin your drive?

Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it.

You are told you lost your job.

Why lose sleep and get irritated? It will work out. Use your worrying energy and time into finding another job.

The plane is late; it is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why take outpour frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on.

Use your time to study, get to know the other passenger. Why get stressed out? It will just make things worse.

Now you know the 90-10 principle. Apply it and you will be amazed at the results. You will lose nothing if you try it. The 90-10 principle is incredible. Very few know and apply this principle.

The result?

Millions of people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials, problems and heartache. We all must understand and apply the 90/10 principle.

My Favourite Music Drama

Glee is a musical comedy-drama television series that airs on Fox in the United States. It focuses on the high school glee club New Directions competing on the show choir competition circuit, while its members deal with relationships, sexuality and social issues. The initial main cast encompassed club director and Spanish teacher Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison), cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch), guidance counselor Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays), Will's wife Terri (Jessalyn Gilsig), and eight club members played by Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Amber Riley, Mark Salling and Jenna Ushkowitz. For the second season, formerly recurring cast members Mike O'Malley, Heather Morris and Naya Rivera were promoted to the main cast.






Glee is My most favorite music drama because almost some of the episodes really relates to my life starting from Lea Michele who played Rachel Berry's Role, Amber Riley as Mercedes Jones, and Chris Colfer as Kurt Hummel. Their side of the story often brings me to tears.

I have put a Video of the Song and a Karaoke Version of the Song to those who wants to sing along. This song really feels like me.

All of us know that soyabean drink provides good protein to our body... but many of us doesn't know that there are certain days we should avoid.

Soyabean drinks are best consume on hot sunny days where the sun is burning and glaring. The soya milk will gives lots of nutrients to the body, as the body is able to absorb the protein well.

However, Avoid the drink when the weather is cloudy or raining. Taking the drink in these weathers, the body will not be able to take in the protein thus will result in a disease called "GOUT" or "high acidic urine" due to the high protein residue in the body, after a long run.

This disease will cause pain to your knee joints and it will only be in control when you control your food intake of proteins and medications. The pain is unbearable and usually you will have no idea what you have taken to cause the pain. Food like soya beans, ikan bilis, broccoli, spinach, peanuts, animal organs ( i.e. liver) etc will have to be avoided to prevent the pain from attacking.

Dress Code
1. It is advised that you come to work dressed according to your salary. If we see you wearing Prada shoes and carrying a Gucci bag, we assume you are doing well financially and therefore do not need a pay raise.

2. If you dress poorly, you need to learn to manage your money better, so that you may buy nicer clothes, and therefore you do not need a pay raise.

3. If you dress just right, you are right where you need to be and therefore you do not need a pay raise.

Sick Days
We will no longer accept a doctor's certificate as proof of sickness. If you are able to go to the doctor, you are able to come to work.

Holiday Days
Each employee will receive 104 personal days a year. They are called Saturday & Sunday.

Compassionate Leave
This is no excuse for missing work. There is nothing you can do for dead friends, relatives or co-workers. Every effort should be made to have non-employees attend to the arrangements. In rare cases where employee involvement is necessary, the funeral should be scheduled in the late afternoon. We will be glad to allow you to work through your lunch hour and subsequently leave one hour early.

Toilet Use
1. Entirely too much time is being spent in the toilet. There is now a strict three-minute time limit in the cubicles.

2. At the end of three minutes, an alarm will sound, the toilet paper roll will retract, the cubicle door will open, and your picture will be taken.

3. After your second offence, your picture will be posted on the company notice board under the "Chronic Offenders" category.

4. Anyone caught smiling in the picture will be sanctioned under the company's mental health policy.

Lunch Break
1. Skinny people get 30 minutes for lunch, as they need to eat more so that they can look healthy.

2. Normal size people get 15 minutes for lunch to get a balanced meal to maintain their average figure.

3. Chubby people get 5 minutes for lunch, because that's all the time needed to drink a Slim-Fast.

Mysterious Staircase

City of Santa Fé, in New Mexico, USA. A mystery of over 130 years and attracting around 250 thousand visitors every year. Point of attention : Loretto Chapel

What makes this chapel different from all others is that the subject of the supposed miracle that took place in it is a Staircase

A chapel was constructed somewhere in hte 19th century. When it was ready, the nuns found that there was no staircase built to take them to the top level,

They spent 9 days praying to St. Joseph, who was a carpenter.

On the last day, a stranger knocked at their door and said that he was a carpenter who could help them build the staircase.

He constructed the staircase, all by himself, which was considered to be the pride of carpentery.





Then the carpenter, who did not use a single nail or glue to construct this staircase, disappeared without even waiting for his payment.

There was a rumour in the city of Santa Fé, that the carpenter was St. Joseph himself ...

sent by Jesus Christ to attend to the nuns’ problem. Since then, the staircase was known to be called “miraculous” and turned out to be the site for pilgrimage

There are 3 mysteries in this case, says the spokesman of the chapel : the 1st mystery is that, until today, the identity of this man is not known.

The second mystery – all the architects, engineers and scientists say that they cannot understand how this staircase can balance without any central support.

And the 3rd mystery – from where did the wood come? They have checked and found out that the type of wood used to build the staircase does not exist in the entire region.

There is another detail that has just increased the belief in the supposed miracle : The staircase has 33 steps, the age of Jesus Christ.

Touching Love Story

A little old couple walked slowly into a McDonald's one cold winter evening.


They looked out of place amid the young families and young couples eating there that night.

Some of the customers looked admiringly at them. You could tell what the admirers were thinking:


"Look, there is a couple who has been through a lot together,
probably for 60 years or more!"


The little old man walked up to the cash register, placed his order with no hesitation and then paid for their meal.

The couple took a table near the back wall and started taking food off of the tray.


There was one hamburger, one order of French fries and one drink.


The little old man unwrapped the plain hamburger and carefully cut it in half.


He placed one half in front of his wife.


Then he carefully counted out the French fries, divided them in two piles and neatly placed one pile in front of his wife. He took a sip of the drink, and then his wife took a sip as the man began to eat his few bites.


Again, you could tell what people around the old couple were saying.


"They were used to sharing everything."



Then the crowd noticed that the little old lady still hadn't eaten a thing.


She just sat there watching her husband eat and occasionally sipped some of the drink.


A young man came over and begged them to let him buy them another meal.



The lady explained that no, they were used to sharing.


As the little old man finished eating and was wiping his face neatly with a napkin, the young man could stand it no longer and asked again.


After being politely refused again, he finally asked the little old lady, "Ma'am, why aren't you eating. You said that you share everything.




What is it that you are waiting for?"


She answered,

A group of students were asked to list what they thought were the present "Seven Wonders of the World." Though there were some disagreements, the following received the most votes:

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student had not finished her paper yet.

So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The girl replied, "Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my mind because there were so many."

TWO NUNS





There were two nuns... One of them was known as Sister Mathematical (SM) , and the other one was known as Sister Logical (SL) .

It is getting dark and they are still far away from the convent.

SM: Have you noticed that a man has been following us for the past thirty-eight and a half minutes? I wonder what he wants.

SL: It's logical. He wants to rape us.

SM: Oh, no! At this rate he will reach us in 15 minutes at the most! What can we do?

SL: The only logical thing to do of course is to walk faster.

SM: It's not working.

SL: Of course it's not working! The man did the only logical thing. He started to walk faster , too.

SM : So, what shall we do? At this rate he will reach us in one minute.

SL: The only logical thing we can do is split. You go that way and I'll go this way. He cannot follow us both.

So the man decided to follow Sister Logical.



Sister Mathematical arrives at the convent and is worried about what has happened to Sister Logical.

Then Sister Logical arrives.

SM: Sister Logical ! Thank God you are here!
Tell me what happened!

SL : The only logical thing happened. The man couldn't follow us both, so he followed me.

SM: Yes, yes! But what happened then?
