Sucker Punch( Movie Review )

Imagination does not exist in a vacuum. We’re inspired by experiences both internal and external. We build our dreams on the dreams of others and if we possess a brilliant imagination, then we can transform these ideas into something fresh and new. With his new film Sucker Punch, director Zack Snyder shows he not only misunderstands how imagination works, he also has no understanding of inspiration, empowerment, or joy. The movie swims through the wet dreams of a teenage boy but pretends at higher aspirations of thoughtful escapism and transcendent determination. For a movie where dragons battle fighter jets and teenage girls in skimpy outfits take down samurai golems, Sucker Punch is a surprisingly dull and self-serious affair that can’t be bothered to develop its heroine, but wants a round of applause every time she defeats a CGI monstrosity. Despite all of the energy put into the stunning vistas and designs, nothing in Sucker Punch‘s visuals comes close to the majesty of its delusions of grandeur.

A girl (Emily Browning) is sent to an insane asylum by her cruel stepfather after the girl attempts to kill him and accidentally murders her little sister instead. The stepfather bribes an orderly (Oscar Isaac) to have the girl lobotomized in five days. This is the “reality level” of Sucker Punch even though everything has the same slick production design and editing tricks as the rest of the movie. “Reality” is just grimier and with a more limited color palette. I love this movie is because all the outfits of the stars are so cool and so hot! I also look at their outfits when watching movies. A good selection of actress is also one of the reason why this movie is really attractive. The fantasy elements included when babydolls fought with those monsters are also cool! Not to forget is the songs used! OMG! it's so awesome! The hard rock or metal songs! It really is so interesting and cool! SUPERB MOVIE!

Kung Fu Panda 2( Movie Review)

This is totally my most favorite movie for now(July). I laughed so much when it was just in the beginning start of the story. In Kung Fu Panda 2, Po is now living his dream as The Dragon Warrior, protecting the Valley of Peace alongside his friends and fellow kung fu masters, The Furious Five(Angelina Jolie as Tigress, Jackie Chan as Monkey, Seth Rogan as Mantis, Lucy Liu as Viper, David Cross as Crane). But Po's new life of awesomeness is threatened by the emergence of a formidable villain, who plans to use a secret, unstoppable weapon to conquer China and destroy kung fu. Po must look to his past and uncover the secrets of his mysterious origins; only then will he be able to unlock the strength he needs to succeed. It was really a touching story but I can't even stop to get touched as it's too funny. In this movie, they were against Shen(voiced by Gary Oldman) who plans to take control over China. The main thing that trigger his strength is from a prophecy said by the court's goat soothsayer (Michelle Yeoh) that "a warrior of black and white" would one day defeat him, Shen assumed she was referring to the giant pandas and had them exterminated to avert the prophecy. Po thought that he was the only Panda left in China. Upon being brought before Shen in his tower, Po and the Five free themselves and destroy Shen's cannon. However, Po is again distracted by a flashback upon seeing the same symbol as before on Shen's plumage, allowing Shen to escape and destroy the tower with an arsenal of cannons. confronts Po over his distraction. Po explains that he remembers Shen's presence on the night he was separated from his parents, and wants to question Shen about his past. Though empathetic, Tigress orders him to stay behind for his own safety.

Regardless, Po breaks into Shen's cannon factory to confront Shen, inadvertently foiling the Five's attempts to destroy the factory. Shen claims that Po's parents abandoned him before he blasts Po out of the factory and captures the Five. Po is rescued by Shen's soothsayer ( Michelle Yeoh) , who has been exiled by Shen to the ruined village where Po was born. Guided by the Soothsayer to embrace his past, Po remembers that when he was young his parents had sacrificed themselves to save him from Shen's forces as they killed every panda and burned down the village, his mother hiding him in a crate before being subdued. Po finds out his past. At this time Po lifts up a broken door and under it is Po's childhood toy. Realizing that he had lived a happy and fulfilling life despite this tragedy, Po attains inner peace. Po is healed back to health by the soothsayer and continues his journey to stop Lord Shen. Lord Shen was defeated by Po at last. In the end, a clip also shows that a group of pandas living in another part of China peacefully. I never knew that it was Po's father, but I read that Po's father is actually still alive and is living peacefully. You have to watch it!

Pirates Of the Carribean(Movie Review)

This has to be one of the most movie I ever watched besides Kung Fu Panda 2! I'm a person who is very addicted to movie which is comedy, fantasy, romance and also a bit of action. Pirates of the Carribean 4 On Stranger Tides includes all this elements which is the reason why I love this movie. In this sequel of movie, Captain Jack Sparrow(Johnny Depp)is brought before King George II (Richard Griffins), who wants Jack to guide an expedition to the Fountain of Youth before the Spanish locate it. Heading the expedition is Jack's old nemesis, Captain Hector Barbossa(Geoffrey Rush), now a privateer in service to the British Navy after having lost Jack's ship, the Black Pearl, as well as his leg. Many funny things happen from beginning of the story until the destination going towards the Fountain. Jack happens to hear that there was an impostor of him and tried to find out who it could be. The impostor was his former lover, Angelica acted by the amazingly pretty Penelope Cruz.During they journey they met with mystical creatures such as the Mermaid. However, this mermaid isn't as sweet as it looks, which could be a very interesting element, as they are ferocious and eat humans.

At the Fountain, Blackbeard

and

his crew are attacked by Barbossa, then the Spanish, sent by their king to destroy the Fountain, believing its power is an abomination against God. After an intense battle, Barbossa stabs Blackbeard with a poison laced sword that Angelica accidentally cuts herself on. Barbossa claims Blackbeard's magical sword, and assuming command, leaves with Blackbeard's crew. Philip, though mortally wounded, escapes and returns t

o free Syrena. After finding the chalices that the Spaniards had tossed into deep water, Syrena gives them to Jack, then retrieves the dying Phillip, taking him underwater to save his life. Me and My friends are really curious about what happens to Phillip, did he became a mermaid or a merman? Or did he gets eaten by Syrena ? No one knows lol.

As both Blackbeard and Angelica lay dying, Blackbeard wants his daughter to sacrifice herself to save him. Angelica willingly agrees, but Jack secretly switches the cups, giving her the one containing Syrena's tear. Angelica survives and B

lackbeard dies in a tornado, which rips off his skin and turns him into a skeleton. It was rather dramatic, but I love the way he dies instead of just a normal death. haha. Despite declaring their love, Jack,

knowing Angelica may avenge her father's death, strands her on an island,

intending for a passing ship to pick her up. Meanwhile, Barbossa, who now commands the Queen Anne's Revenge, renounces his ties to the crown and reverts to piracy. Jack finds Gibbs, who used Jack's compass to locate the Revenge and retrieve the Black Pearl, as well as the other captured ships that Blackbeard had magically shrunk and bottled. The movie ended with the two heading off, hoping to find a way to return the Pearl to its original size. Overall, it's an awesome movie! I didn't regret watching it!

Step Up 3D (Movie Review)

I am so interested in movies which concerns dancing! The moment I heard that Step Up 3D was about to be premiered I was freaking excited which made me sleepless for days. I watched it when I bought my DVD just recently. This story is about dancing and also a continuation of Step Up 1 and 2, but Step Up 3D is even more thrilling with the massive improvement in the dance moves and also the outfits, not to forget those SHOES! Oh My God! Step Up 3 is about winning the World Jam Championship to get a 100 Grand to pay off the outstanding rent of the House of Pirates Group, Training place which is owned by Luke Katcher(Rick Malambri). Although he is the leader, I don't really think that he is much of a talent when compared to Moose(Adam G. Sevani), Cable(Harry Shum. Jr) and others who are way better than Luke. Luke is a person who is unable to divide emotions and also what's important when he gave up just because Natalie(Sharni Vinson) lied to him about her true identity. She was the sister of Julien(Joe Slaughter). The movie is even more hilarious with Mari Koda acting as Jenny Kido who doesn't realise that she have a strong Chinese Accent when talking in English. Jenny Kido is a very good dancer but was not known. Alyson Stoner as Camille Gage in the movie is also a good singer herself. She was in love with Moose but never told Moose about what she felt, but they did have a happy ending at last though. ha Ha. They practiced a lot and they won the World Jam Title and got the money to pay of the rental. A question is, the money is only adequate to pay the current rental, will it be enough to sustain the House of Pirates? No one knows. Laughing Out Loud. So the ending was, after they won, Luke and Natalie went to California to a Movie Academy where Luke will continue his Study, and as for Moose, he is taking a double major in Electrical Engineering and in Dancing. I think that is awesome to have a Double Major! Only if you have Interest though. You got to watch it if you have a chance!

The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince episode 2(Drama Review)

This is a korean drama I wanted to watch for a long time but never did have a chance, so this is would be a good opportunity to watch it, as it is also for my English Reflection Journal assignment.

The main characters would be Go Eun Chan, Choi Han Kyul. The life of Go Eun Chan (Yoon Eun Hye) is not easy; she works many jobs to pay off debts and even gave up her feminine image. Choi Han Kyul (Gong Yoo) is the heir of a big food company, but his grandmother wants him to settle down, so she arranged many dates for him. After Eun Chan bumped into Han Kyul and was mistaken for a boy, Han Kyul decided to hire Eun Chan to be his gay lover in order to avoid the arranged dates. Desperately in need of money, Eun Chan had no choice but to accept. Han Kyul's grandmother also made Han Kyul in charge of a filthy coffee shop in danger of being bankrupt. Many funny things happen in this episode, a very good story to cheer up my day. Before the blind date, Han Kyul brought Eun Chan to a store and bought a formal suit for her to wear. After choosing the perfect suit, they went out and along the road, the wind blew and the woman with her baby's thing all went flying through the air. When they passed through the small children's group, their cotton candies and their hats went flying. hahaha! It was too hilarious. Finally, they reached the place for the blind dates. Choi Han Kyul went for several blind dates arranged by his grandmother, but he got another plan. He brought Go Eun Chan and wanted her to act as his gay lover to frighten all the other girls. During the first date, he went ''kissing'' Go Eun Chan, and was hit simultaneously by the girl who was on the date. All the other blind dates was also an epic failure. Later on, he and Go Eun Chan went to a restaurant to celebrate their victory. Han Kyul happens to be a bad drinker, he accidentally drank a glass of wine, and he went unconscious. Poor Eun Chan have to carry him to his house, which was locked, causing her to carry him to the Taekwondo Training Center. That time, Eun Chan left him there with the kids and went off to see her sister. Han Kyul was tied and several of his outfits was undressed by the kids. It was such a scene! hahahaha! The ending was even hilarious. The expression from Han Kyul's face when he was given the Coffee Company to be taken over, and the lightning which struck the Shop's name, it was unbearable. I was laughing my ass off. On the other side, Eun Chan's Training Center owner has left without paying her a cent, causes her to be jobless. Until next time guys!

Astarotte no Omocha Episode 11 and 12(Anime Review)

Astarotte no Omocha or Astarotte's Toy is a romance comedy anime. It's a very funny anime to be watched. In the medieval fantasy world of Alfheimr, Succubus princess Astarotte Ygvar, the first princess of the kingdom of Ygvarland has just reached the age of 10. For the coming years of a young succubus' life, it is necessary for them to have a male harem. In order to maintain their body and preserve their beautiful appearance, they must consume a substance only found on males. This substance is a liquid called Sauzfryma, better known as semen. The princess, however, bears a great dislike against men, and only agrees to create a harem if a human male is to join, as human males are said to be impossible to find. However, her followers are somehow able to find a human male named Naoya Tohara who, along with his daughter Asuha, is brought to the demon world to be part of Astarotte's harem. In this episode, The World Tree is losing its magic due to the travel from the Human Realm to the Monster Realm. Therefore, Asuha and Naoya have to return to the Human Realm to prevent from bad things happening to the Monster Realm and Princess Astarotte. During that day, Asuha and Naoya's voice can't be heard by Princess Astarotte's and her followers and vice-versa. Princess Astarotte was so disappointed but she hides her feeling and emotions, pretending that nothing happens and made a farewell party for the both of them. Later, Asuha gave Princess Astarotte a box full of items used by her and Naoya as a remembrance of them. Princess Astarotte then bravely went and ask Naoya for a date. They went on a date at the amusement park, both of them express their feelings, but both of them were unable to hear what they were saying. I was crying when I watched that part. It's so sad man! Being in love with someone so close, but unable to express how you feel, it can really kills you inside. Back to the story, Ingrid, the gatekeeper for the World Tree created a Gateway between the Human Realm and Monster Realm. Naoya returned with Asuha and they both met at a place. Oh My God! This is a really sad story. I cried myself out.

Ao No Exorcist Episode 12(Anime Review)

Another of my favorite Anime would be Ao No Exorcist. This story is about a guy named Okumura Rin who is born with the demonic powers of the Underworld. He is choosen to be Satan's child because he got a stronger will power compared to his nonidentical twin, Yukio who became an Exorcist which uses a gun as a weapon. His Father, a priest, raised him up. However, after a long period of keeping Rin without the knowledge of his biological father, Satan, the news has come to his knowledge about the existence of his son, Rin. Satan appeared in the real world and possessed the Priest(Rin's Father) which left Rin no choice but to kill him, that is the main reason why Rin wanted to become an Exorcist, a strong exorcist, to avenge his Father. In this episode, Rin and his other exorcist trainee friends were given a task to go to an amusement park and to find a wandering ghost of a little child who has been disturbing the visitors to that park. They were released in pairs and Rin's partner was Shiemi, a girl which he has a crush on. They spotted the ghost and tried to capture it, but it was too cunning to be caught. I really laughed my ass off watching how Shiemi who is a rather clumsy person running around and falling on her toes being played by the little ghost. While Shiemi was busy chasing the ghost, Rin encountered his biological brother, Amaimon, the Earth's King. Rin was attacked and was unable to defend himself due to his stronger opponent. He was hurt badly, and luckily he was rescued by an Upper Class Exorcist, Shiga Kirigakure who was disguising as Yamada, an Exorcist Trainee. Amaimon fled, and Yukio arrived when the action has ended. The episode ended with the beautiful smile from Shiga Kirigakure.

Bleach Episode 329(Anime Review)

After watching Bleach episode 328, I continued on watching bleach episode 329. This episode is epic, but it was really irritating on the beginning of the story. Soi Fon demanded Mayuri Kurotsuchi to end Inaba's life, but Mayuri went talking, and talking, and talking. By the time he wanted to give his final blow, a Reigai jumped up to protect Inaba. Inaba killed her, and ate her Capsule, a Modified Soul capsule. A strong aura was released from his body, and in seconds a new Inaba was created. The sick Inaba was taken over by the Reigai, and the New, Strong Inaba is himself. Inaba started to tell about the SpearHead research that was done a long time ago. He happens to be the head scientist for that particular research which is about the creation of Modified Soul from the deceased to be a better army against Hollows(a Soul which have their chain pulled out from their hearts and evolved into something bad). He was angry because of his research was to be torn apart because of immorality in creating something beyond human's ability. Before his research was to be destroyed, he took the remaining Modified Soul energy and placed it in the Precipice World, it is more like a path from the Real World to the Soul Society. Meanwhile, in the Real World, Ichigo Kurosaki(a Human with Shinigami Powers inherited by his Father and also Powers from Hollows) was saved by Uraha Kisuke a former Shinigami who has a shop in Karakura town. Surprised to be alive, he mentioned that he saw someone while he was about to be dead in the Precipice World. That someone was said to have rescued him and place him in somewhere safe. Nozomi Kujo, a stranger who was saved by the villains Reigai in this story then reveals the secret of Inaba and the SpearHead research to Ichigo, Urahara, Kon, Rukia, Inoue, Chad and Ishida Uryuu. They were surprised listening to Nozomi who has never revealed anything about herself and Inaba. The most surprising part would be that, the first Modified Soul to be created was Nozomi Kujo herself. That was why Inaba was serious in getting Nozomi Kujo back. She might have possessed a strong power within.

Bleach Episode 328(Anime Review)

I watched Bleach today and I decided to tell something about the episode that I watch. In the episode of Bleach 328, the enemy Inaba Kageroza was found in a building in Soul Society(a place where all Shinigami's and their respectively Squad Captains and many souls live) by Hitsugaya Toshirou the 10th Squad Division Captain and also Zaraki Kenpachi the 11th Squad Division Captain. They got into a gruesome battle despite their serious injuries from battling the other Reigai(Clones) made by Inaba Kageroza. During their battle with Inaba, they finally get to knew a little bit about Inaba's Zanpakutou(sword) power, but they still were unable to defeat him. While they were battling, several knives were thrown towards Inaba coming from the front door, and there stood Soi Fon, the 2nd Squad Division Captain, with two other characters. Then came several others to rescue. Nevertheless, just as they were about to attack Inaba, several Captain-level Reigai appear and protected Inaba. Then the battle started between all of them. The Originals created a plan to distract all of them starting with Soi Fon and Shihouin Yoruichi(Former 2nd Division Captain) with Shunko, a skill so powerful that increases agility and also damage, but it was reflected. They tried to destroy Inaba's skill of manipulating space and reflecting their skills by reversing their Shunko Skill and was then attacked by Zaraki Kenpachi. They thought they were successful, but Inaba seems to be always one step ahead from them, the person they hit was just an imaginary object created by Inaba. Inaba jumped from above and hit them all, and they were lying on the floor. Inaba then jumped back above and started to brag, before he manage to brag any longer, he was stabbed by Mayuri Kurotsuchi, the 12th Squad Division Captain and also Head of the Shinigami Research Institute. He is called a mad scientist because everything that is weird, unique will always be subject to his research. He happens to have made himself to be like a Reigai without the knowledge of Inaba, that wraps up the story. I think this episode is quite interesting, because the action finally starts to get hot! YAYY!! Everyone should watch this anime, because it's every interesting and have many different story so it doesn't bores you out.

The Terminal( Personal Movie Review)

I have watched The Terminal long time ago, and I watched it today in my Academic and Writing Class, so let me give you a little insight on the movie and my opinion about it. First of all, this movie is directed by Steven Spielberg and starred by Tom Hanks as Viktor Navorski and also Catherine Zeta Jones as Amelia Jane Warren. The movie is about a man named Viktor Navorski who arrived at JFK International Airport, but finds that he is not allowed to enter the United States. While he was en route to the US, a revolution was started in his home nation of Krakozhia. Due to the civil war, the United States no longer recognizes Krakozhia as a sovereign nation and denies Viktor's entrance to the US. Unable to leave the airport or return to Krakozhia, Viktor instead lives in the terminal, carrying his luggage and a mysterious Planters peanut can.In the end, after facing all difficulties he made a huge decision and left the airport with everyone giving him gifts from every store.

The movie is a very inspiring movie to me as it really inspires to me about waiting. Researchers have stated that in this modern age of technology-driven world, people are often getting more impatient on waiting and will often have mood swings easily than in the olden times. I don't really get it why is he keep waiting at the airport, I mean, before he met Amelia. I think i would probably freak out for few days before I can regain my consciousness and begin to think rationally on how am I suppose to get out of the
problems I'm facing. However, Viktor really has set a good example by keeping his calm, patience and the spirit of not giving up to what he believes on which really should be applied by everyone in their daily life including me. I have to admit that I'm not really a patient person when it I faced problems again and again from the same source. Besides that, being able to survive in a foreign place would be a very good thing that should be looked upon in this story. Viktor was able to make use of everything that is around him to go through his life although in difficulties. His sense of survival is strong that he is willing to do everything to earn money to get him something to eat. As a foreigner who doesn't know how to communicate in English in an English-based country, he is willing to study
and learn how to communicate English effectively to be able to mix around with the people at the airport. He also shows good example by being a good person and being friendly to everyone who comes his way despite his promise made. He sacrificed his promise to his Father to prevent his friends who happens to be criminals, howev
er have repented to go on with their lives without having to ruin their lives because of himself. That's all for Viktor, I'll move on to Catherine Zeta Jones or Amelia in this movie. The character of Amelia shows that how difficult it is to be living alone in this world that she is willing to be with a married man. Being alone in this world, is a mental torture. Amelia also shows that it was never easy to be with someone who has already have a wife and being a third person. Nevertheless, she still hasn't lose hope on the man, she greatly shows that LOVE is bigger than anything or anyone in this whole wide world.
Overall, this movie is a huge success. It shows exactly what it wanted to express in this movie and have many moral values that can be taken as examples. People this era should watch this movie and stop thinking just about themselves
and worldly things and be more observant about the things around them. Nice work again, Mr. Steven Spielberg.
