The Terminal( Personal Movie Review)

I have watched The Terminal long time ago, and I watched it today in my Academic and Writing Class, so let me give you a little insight on the movie and my opinion about it. First of all, this movie is directed by Steven Spielberg and starred by Tom Hanks as Viktor Navorski and also Catherine Zeta Jones as Amelia Jane Warren. The movie is about a man named Viktor Navorski who arrived at JFK International Airport, but finds that he is not allowed to enter the United States. While he was en route to the US, a revolution was started in his home nation of Krakozhia. Due to the civil war, the United States no longer recognizes Krakozhia as a sovereign nation and denies Viktor's entrance to the US. Unable to leave the airport or return to Krakozhia, Viktor instead lives in the terminal, carrying his luggage and a mysterious Planters peanut can.In the end, after facing all difficulties he made a huge decision and left the airport with everyone giving him gifts from every store.

The movie is a very inspiring movie to me as it really inspires to me about waiting. Researchers have stated that in this modern age of technology-driven world, people are often getting more impatient on waiting and will often have mood swings easily than in the olden times. I don't really get it why is he keep waiting at the airport, I mean, before he met Amelia. I think i would probably freak out for few days before I can regain my consciousness and begin to think rationally on how am I suppose to get out of the
problems I'm facing. However, Viktor really has set a good example by keeping his calm, patience and the spirit of not giving up to what he believes on which really should be applied by everyone in their daily life including me. I have to admit that I'm not really a patient person when it I faced problems again and again from the same source. Besides that, being able to survive in a foreign place would be a very good thing that should be looked upon in this story. Viktor was able to make use of everything that is around him to go through his life although in difficulties. His sense of survival is strong that he is willing to do everything to earn money to get him something to eat. As a foreigner who doesn't know how to communicate in English in an English-based country, he is willing to study
and learn how to communicate English effectively to be able to mix around with the people at the airport. He also shows good example by being a good person and being friendly to everyone who comes his way despite his promise made. He sacrificed his promise to his Father to prevent his friends who happens to be criminals, howev
er have repented to go on with their lives without having to ruin their lives because of himself. That's all for Viktor, I'll move on to Catherine Zeta Jones or Amelia in this movie. The character of Amelia shows that how difficult it is to be living alone in this world that she is willing to be with a married man. Being alone in this world, is a mental torture. Amelia also shows that it was never easy to be with someone who has already have a wife and being a third person. Nevertheless, she still hasn't lose hope on the man, she greatly shows that LOVE is bigger than anything or anyone in this whole wide world.
Overall, this movie is a huge success. It shows exactly what it wanted to express in this movie and have many moral values that can be taken as examples. People this era should watch this movie and stop thinking just about themselves
and worldly things and be more observant about the things around them. Nice work again, Mr. Steven Spielberg.
